The Prestige!

Ok class...so this summer I discovered that Christian Bale was going to be in a new movie...so I did some fine internet research and found out it was called The Prestige. I've been waiting a long time for this one and tonight a bunch of us went and saw it *granted most of the people reading this would have been there hahaha* I can honestly say that I really really liked this movie. A whole lot. I totally recommend it. The acting was awesome, Christian Bale is a truly gifted actor. The rest of the cast did a fabulous job as well, Michael Cane is classic, Hugh Jackman from wolvarine to this, another versitle actor. Scarlett Johanson was pretty good and I thought the chick that played the Sarah did a great job. Not to mention gullum guy and David Bowie!! Crazy plot line...yeah just sweet all around definatly didn't let me done. True story, I was a little worried because I've been waiting a while for this one.

Yes, yes I agree it was a pretty good movie. It had some interesting plot twists. Though some how I was still able to predict what was going to happen...sigh such is the life. I'm glad that we went to see it though.

That's because you are TOO STINKIN SMART SARAH!! Hahaha. And I love you for it ;)

yeah, i thought they could have done a better job with hiding some of those plot twists. the aha moment at the end wasn't very surprising to me, but that's cause sarah and i are incredibly smart.

saw it last night. oh how i love christopher and jonah nolan. they are fantastic.

yeah my friend severin figured it out in the first scene. she was mad. i didn't figure it out until just before halfway through (i think i was distracted by all the HOT MEN ON SCREEN). great movie though.

I don't think that Dan should be allowed to label himself as "incredibly smart" if he can forget someone after spending several delightful hours in her company - Haha!

I have been waiting for this one! Thanks for the recommendation, now I can invite all sorts of people and if for some weird reason they don't like I can blame you... after all it's your recommendation :D

it was darker than i thought, and a little to shakesearean tragedy for me to love it, but it was still an excellently cobstructed and acted film

I thought it had an amazing cast/plot/setting all that, but it was way too tragic/horrific for me. Too many people died unnecessarily and the characters were so cruel that I almost couldn't understand the message or appreciate the rest. I did appreciate, but I was too disturbed by the end of the film to Really love it.

Okay, and another thing: I swear I am not stupid - I have seen and read a million mysteries/adventures/sci-fi/you name it, I understand tropes and plot contrivances and I did not see it coming from anywhere's near the begining that fallon was the identical twin and that the other dude would freakin clone himself a million times. Did ya'll REALLY see that coming? You knew it would end with one of them dying and all that, but really, was it a predictable movie? I don't think so.
